Fireworks are set off around the Olympic Stadium
This is pretty funny!
Performers playing the roles of HRH The Queen and James Bond parachute spectacularly out of a helicopter hovering above the stadium during the Opening Ceremony.

The Olympic Cauldron burns brightly at the end of Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Designer Thomas Heatherwick's work was a highlight of the ceremony at the Olympic Stadium, watched by 80,000 spectators.

Showing my support for the USA

and of course my home country, Indonesia!

Supporting my fellow Manadonese, Fernando Lumain, who is representing Indonesia
for Athletics.

What do I love about the Olympics?
The diversity, the uniqueness, the friendship, the sport, the competition, the determination and the inspirations that comes from the athletes and the nations.

Happy Memorial Day 2012

..HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY..

Today,
Let's not forget those who died in combat,
Those who gave their lives for the price of freedom.
Let's remember their great lives,
Their ultimate sacrifice,
Their commitment,
So that we could enjoy our freedom.
Honor them,
Remember them.

Spare some time today to pray for the families and friends
of the fallen heroes.
They lost their loved ones,
so that we could have ours by our side.

Think and Thank a veteran
and those who are still serving in the Armed Forces,
Not just today,
but
EVERYDAY!

Have a great Memorial Day Everyone.

These are some great books to buy and read today. I highly recommend these books because I have read them and I could not put them down.
Their courageous story, love for their country, loyalty, commitment and the ultimate sacrifices must be known and remembered.

NEVER FORGET

Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day Everyone and Everything!
God is a creative creator and artist,
He created this beautiful earth and told us to take good care of it,
Therefor..
We must do so in our everyday lives.

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Genesis 1:1

"It is I who by my great power and my outstretched arm have made the earth, with the men and animals that are on the earth, and I give it to whomever it seems right to me."
(Jeremiah 27:5)

"God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."
(Genesis 1:25)

"And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
(Genesis 1:28)

God trusted us to take care of the earth and not destroying it.
Yes, we need food and water and God provides it all for us through the earth.
He also gives us a brain and creativity to use the earth properly.
Understand that you are not the only one who is on this earth!
There are other people, present and the future generation to come,
Animals, plants, and etc.
Use wisely.
Be a good steward of anything that God entrusted us!

"The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,"
(Psalm 24:1)

So, make no mistake!
God entrusted us this earth
(Thank You God),
But
HE IS STILL THE OWNER.
 -----------------------------
"And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.  But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful."
(Luke 12:42-46)
 -----------------------------

Everything that we have now comes from those before us.
Be thankful and be a good steward so that your children will enjoy the earth.
Create, enjoy, planted, and use everything on this earth with great responsibility and love.
Take good care of your body and those around you, including the animals and other living creatures that God created to be our source of food, companion, worker, etc.
LOVE them, not abusing them and taking advantage of their well being.
There are a lot of things that we could do to love and celebrate the earth daily.
Eat right, recycle, use water and electricity according to your needs, save, clean up, create, share, help others in need!

XOXO EARTH,
Lindsay

Happy 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR...
GOODBYE 2011
AND
 HELLO 2012!!

How was your new year's eve and day? Mine was relaxing, enjoyable and memorable. Having a nice homemade meals, clean house, church with family, did some shopping, get a late Christmas presents (YAY!), Chicago Bears/Chicago Bulls won the game..woot woot..could not get any better than that for me!

I am sure there are a lot of things that happened in 2011 that you would like to remember, forget, and replay. Some of the scenes were too much to handle, you just want to close your eyes and pretend it has never happened. Sometimes it is easier to forgive than to forget :)

New Year's resolutions do not work for me! I just do what I can do, when I can do them. I am a believer in "JUST DO IT" instead of writing a whole bunch of great words on a paper and never do it. The lonely paper just sit nicely inside a beautiful wooden box or pinned perfectly on a wall. The more we look at our goals, its either pumped us up to do it or its making us lazier. "I will do it tomorrow", is the worst excuse for me LOL. Instead, I do not make it a burden for myself to fulfilled my own goals that I write on day 1 of the new year. I make myself available for goals as I live, everyday. I make it fun and free of burden. I just get up and do them with a grateful heart, peaceful mind, right attitude. It is good to have soemthing to remind us to do something in life. But, when it becomes a burden, it will not fulfilled its purpose. ACCOMPLISHMENT is an amazing feeling, victorious and proud in a way.

However, just because New Year's Resolutions don't work for me, it doesn't mean it won't work for you. So, if you are the kind of a person who MUST have it so that you will do it, then go for it! Whatever work for you, right?! ;)

- Let's start the year right with the right attitude and a light heart.
- Let's forgive so that we could make peace with ourselves.
- Let's move on so that we can arrive at the destination that God has prepared for us, instead of walking backward and get lost in our own past. Whatever and whoever that suppose to stay in 2011, let them stay in 2011.
- Let's set a new vision/goals that will benefit us and other people.
- Let's do what we have always wanted to do in our life.
- Let's make a good life so that we could enjoy living it up to the fullest!

Good luck, best wishes for you in 2012.
My love and prayers!
xoxo

Lets learn from our past, move on with our eyes set forward to a hopeful future.
May God be with us, bless, help and keep us.
Be strong, faithful and thankful.
Happy New Year
