Happy 6TH Birthday Luke!

My darling dog, LUKE, is six years old today!
We adopted him from Petco in Jamacha, California on October 2006.
He greeted us with his paw, showing off  some tricks, drinking from a fountain, etc.

He was a smiling-happy little three months old puppy,
living with his twin brother,
who was adopted by another family on the same day we adopted him..
YAY!!

He is a very smart, mellow, funny, playful and gentle dog.
He is very weird with his food,
Loves his rope and ball,
Knows a lot of tricks,
Good at fetching (specialized in food and toys only lol),
Easy to train, he is actually very smart,
Eager to please the human,
Kinda lazy
;)

First Day at Our House

Long Live King Luke!

Happy Birthday little darling Luke,
you are truly a blessing for us.

A great companion,
A wonderful friend,
A beautiful, gentle, loving soul that everyone loves!

Eating one of his favorite dessert, Jello.
He only eat it on special occasion like today lol

"Can I eat the chicken jerky now..please?"

Enjoy your special day with special treats!
God bless you my darling little doggie
:)

Pet Of The Month

If you are a dog lover, pet owner or an animal lover in general, you will spend hours just watching your pet doing tricks or even just staring at their eyes makes you happy.

Our apartment did this fun event, "Pet Of The Month" contest, and we immediately think of our darling companion, LUKE, the dog. We uploaded his picture to compete with other pets in the apartments (dogs, cats, bunnies, etc) and we did a campaign to let our voice heard and invited people to vote for Luke.

So, people started voting for Luke and for a while Luke was behind Lulu the bunny and some other dogs. Then..miracles happened..LOL..Luke started to catch up!

And..the winner is (drum roll)

Coincidence or Not?

We were taking a walk around the neighborhood last Saturday,
And we saw this on the pavement,
It says "If you think Luke is awesome follow the arrows."
My dog's name is LUKE,
So...
I decided to take this picture of him!

Sometimes in life we think it was a coincidence that we see this, meet them, do this, etc,
and many times it is just a coincidence of a day,
But actually ALL the time, it is not a coincidence.
What we think, see, hear, do,
WILL
affects other people and the earth in some ways.

God is taking care of every step we take,
To guide us, teach us so that we could do the same to others (and vice versa),
We are all a chain in this world,
One person connect to the other,
One change the other's life and that person change the next one's life and etc.
We learn from experience and other people's wisdom,
There is nothing new under heaven
;)

We might take detours and wrong turns along the way,
But God will try a lot in His power to bring you back to the right path,
And trust me..He is powerful.

Sometimes the detour is not easy,
Its hard, but its for our best interest.
Beside, we are the one who made the wrong turn, deal with the consequences.
It is better to hurt now but at the end it is for our best and healing,
Than keep walking and enjoy the dangerous momentarily "happiness"
and at the end it kills us, destroys us, hurt us.

The keywords are OBEDIENT and WILLINGNESS
to understand God's goodness (or our own understanding, which is limited and selfish),
to be mold according to what God think is better for us.
He sees our potential while we settle for just "OK",
Why settle for less if we can excel to the greater level?

We met people along the way in this life,
Some of them are gone,
Some are still stays,
Some are set to meet us in the future.

Everything that we do in this life,
is either for our benefits and others,
Or a disaster for us.

So NEVER think that what you do will not affect other people,
Because it is!
Remember we are all a chain to each other and we affected other people's lives in some way,
It is just like a "domino effect"
We can either strengthened or destroyed each other.

In Manadonese, we say it "Torang Samua Basudara,"
Which means, "We are all brothers/sisters"
Basudara simply means related/family!
:)

Everything we do is affecting other creature's being on this earth,
May it be human, animals, plants or earth in general.
Live a life that will help the environment in a positive way instead of destroying it.
What you sow now will be reap later on in life,
by you, your children and other people's grandchildren,
etc.

“Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous.”
-Albert Einstein-

Enjoy your day,

A dog from God

I am more of a dog person than a cat person, but I am an animal lover and I love them. I found this cute pic of a cat and I thought this cat is the real deal LOL

via

Do you believe that your pet is your mini me? I do, because sometimes I could see a human with their dog and they look the same. Well, let me put it this way, If your dog/cat would have been born as a human, they would look like you and pretty much act like you LOL!

Sometimes I think that if human is as nice as my dog, this world would be a better place. Our pet would try anything for us, do everything we expect them to do. Basically, they try so hard to please us and they love us regarding what we own, who we are or what we look like.

I adopted my dog, Luke, back in 2006. He has been with us ever since he was a puppy and since the first year of our marriage. My husband was an active duty US Navy and he get deployed a lot, work way too much and left me alone all the time. So, a dog would be great, right?!.

First few months was very hard because I need to trained him to do everything. But thank God, Luke is a quick learner and willing to do everything for me. I NEVER train him and give him treat in return, LOL. I know I am "mean" huh?! But, it works though. He would do tricks not for food but just for fun and for me. As he grows older, I started to reward him with treats (I could not be that mean).

He never chewed my furniture, never bite anyone, never had accident in the house..well maybe once when he was sick and we were at work. He will do ANY trick for you and for every trick, I only taught him once then he will get it right away. He was there when I am alone, sad, happy, sick, healthy. He was there even when my own husband was in a war zone. He was with me when none of my family were there (they are in Indonesia). He is my friend, my companion, my dog. He is a dog from God and I will always cherish my days with him.

A bond of love, friendship and loyalty!

We all could use a little lesson (and love) from our pet. Go hug your pet, play with them, walk with them, or simply talk to them. You will be surprise of how much love we get in return from a dog. When I cry, my dog will come to me and put his head on my lap, trying to lick my tears away. That is his way of saying, "I am here for you. I don't know why you are sad, but I can feel your pain. Everything will be all right."

If you hate animal, you might not find this true or moving, because there is no room for them in your heart and that is OK with me. I just hope you understand that they are God's creation and every creation has its purpose. Dog is created as a human companion, friend, guard and helper. God made them that way and it is up to us, human, to understand their purpose, how to teach/train them and how to love them as they should be loved/treated. They would never hurt their owners yet the owners neglect their pets so many times, even kill them. Please be a responsible owner and educate yourself!. They are a living creature, not a doll. They should be treated as a living creature and not as a "thing", who could not feel anything. They understand pain, death, life and love. They are a living creature, keep that in mind the next time you are trying to hurt them, kill them, leave them or eat them :(

Cherish your days with your pets! They will not live forever, but they will always be in your hearts. You will always be their hero, best friend and everything for them.
